I am setting up a free fantasy football league through CBS Sportsline (as opposed to the Commissioner and Premium fantasy football services, which come at a price) for my friends and I. The CBS Sportsline website has implied that I must have 12 teams in order for my league to be valid, or else the league and teams will be disbanded. The rules that say this are here: http://football.cbssports.com/splash/football/spln/single/free/rules.

I want my league to have 10 teams. Has anyone used Sportsline and can confirm this one way or the other? Would be much appreciated.

From my experience, you do need 12 teams from them booting your league. I guess it's just not worth their while for some of the smaller leagues. Yahoo allows you to do smaller leagues like the one you want. I forget if FOX or ESPN allow smaller leagues anymore but you can check.

If for some reason you are dead set on CBS, here is link to get you 50% off a new league.

Basically it would cost you about $9 a team to use CBS for a ten team league. But the extras you get with the pay leagues is pretty sweet in my humble opinion, but I do run a rather serious dynasty league.

Good luck with whatever you choose and hope this helps.
