Question:
How would you rank each season of Lost?

Half a year.
That's how long I have to wait until the final season of Lost.
Until then I'll pass the time asking other fans (that's you) their opinions on what we've seen so far on lost.
The question is: If you put each of the past five seasons in order from best to worst how would you rank them. Now I don't think any season was bad, but some were better than others. Here's my list starting with worst:
#5: Season 1 (so we got to meet the characters through flashbacks and we saw the smoke monster, but come on, not much really happens)
#4: Season 3 (great finale, but some episodes got a bit weird for me)
#3: Season 5 (a very good season, Jacob's reveal at the end was great, but the finale seemed a little bit anti-climatic and wasn't really built up to in my opinion)
#2: Season 2 (oh my god! a guy lives in the hatch with running water... so that's what happens when you don't press the button, great season, including my favorite season finale so far)
#1: Season 4 (the constant was a great episode; finally they stopped paying so much attention on the others; a lot of mystery was introduced such as how they got off the island, why sun thought jin was dead, and why kate had aaron- all of these questions were fully answered by the interesting, flash-forward filled finale)

Wrong section, but I do love Lost, so I will answer your question.

#1. Season 5- I thought almost all the episodes were extraordinary. A lot of questions asked in the earlier seasons were answered, including(but not limited to) the statue, the Dharma Initiative, Jacob, Rousseau, the smoke monster. Pretty much everything that makes the series what it is was advanced in the story line, and they left enough questions to build anticipation for season 6. The finale was the best in my opinion. Just so many intense, and emotional moments.

#2. Season 1- I liked the first season because it was so simple. No time travel, parralel universes, character manipulation. It was less sci-fi, more survival, which is what I suspected from the beginning (I still love the show for what it is today, but I didn't expect it to turn out like this). Season 1 was just easy to follow, and all other seasons built on it. Plus, the Arzt explosion was one of the best moments of the series.

#3. Season 3- I think all of the seasons are pretty even from here on out, but Through the Looking Glass (finale) was the 2nd best finale to me, and earns it spot #3.

#4. Season 2- We finally learn about the hatch and the Dharma Initiative. I wasn't really a fan of the tail section episodes, but nevertheless it was a good season

#5. Season 4- I enjoyed all the seasons, but season 4 really frustrated me. The writers strike, combined with the freightor people, and the obsession with getting off the island really left a sour taste in my mouth. This season was filled with manipulation of the viewers and the characters. I bet I flipped my opinion on each character 4-5 times during the season. I really thought that this was going to be the downfall of the series, but they rebounded with a great season 5. And at least they introduced us to Daniel, Miles, and Charlotte. 3 of my favorite characters.

1. season 2.

2. season 3

3. season 4.

4. season 5

5. season 1.

season 2 was my favourite because.. well im not sure I just loved it, i love meeting Eko, Libby and Ana Lucia. We learnt more about the others and i love the episode 'the other 28 days' I also loved the finale!!!

season 3 is number 2 because again im not sure i just enjoyed it lol. great episodes. especially the love triangle with Sawyer, Jack and Kate. Then Juliet gets involved.

Season 4 was great. I dont really remember what happened but I can remember that I loved the finale.

Season 5 was also great, finally lots of questions answered, yet more questions need answering. I was a little dissapointed finding out Jacob wasnt a main character, But I thought the thing with Locke having a double who was an impersonater and wanted to kill Jacob was cool. I also liked the finale how when the bomb apparently went out 'the word LOST was in black and the background was white' hmm maybe it was time travel.. maybe no ones dead.

This is totally off topic but if that is the case then my theory could be possible ( that the whole things a time loop and season 6 is going to end how season 1 began) because if there is a time flash then the hatch is still there which means the plane will still crash. sorry if i spoiled something for ya' lol.

and i agree with what you said about season 1, not much happened. but the finale was good. :)

1 - Season 5. I agree that the finale was a bit of a let-down, but it was a really good, interesting season (with lots of Richard Alpert). And I don't usually even like time travel, but this was really good. #2 - Season 2. I was getting a little bored by the end of S1, so S2 was great for me. I've always liked Desmond a lot, and the whole hatch plot was cool. #3 - Season 4. This is pretty close with S2. It (finally) answered some questions and was really interesting. I agree that The Constant was great. It was my favorite episode of the season. #4 - Season 3. Also very interesting, but kind of weird and confusing. Could be because this was the first season I didn't watch on DVD. If I watched it again I might like it better. #5 - Season 1. Not a bad season, just less interesting than the others. The first few episodes definitely got me hooked, but a lot of the season was just introducing the characters' backstories.

That's five years of wasted time. Reality shows are for sheep.
