Richie Sexson is so one-dimensional; you get power (HRs and RBIs), but not much else. He also strikes out a lot. Matsui is a good all around ball player. He will hit for a decent average and he produces in the clutch which means RBIs. I guess take a look at your team and see what categories you will need the most. One more thing, Sexson has been prone to injury; Matsui plays everyday.

Both players are actually fairly even minus Matsui having a better average and Sexson having more homers. It all really depends on if you need help in the average or HR category or a better 1B or OF then what you already have. Although in the end they even out fantasy points wise.

I'm a big Mariners fan, but I would take Matsui over Sexson any day.

i totally agree with malcolm, but u could make a case that sexson, when he is healthy, can produce HRs and RBIs way better than Hideki Matsui

First base is pretty deep. A solid OF like Hideki has more value and can help you in multiple categories. avg., hr's, rbi's, runs. Sexson can only hit hr's

no. they couldn't be more different as far as reliability. gorilla matsui hasn't missed a game in how many years? also the yanks are gonna score a ton more runs than the mariners are. i know there are a lot of outfielders available out there, but matsui is one you should hang on to. i have him and sheffield in my keeper team, i hate the yanks but i can't bring myself to trade either one of 'em. if you're looking for a first baseman, why not try drafting casey kotchmann of the angels? you heard it here first...

The Dodgers have been winners. They mandatory a huge bat and have been given Manny Ramirez. Their outfield grew to become right into slightly on the draw back, so including Ramirez is an excellent deal. The Diamondbacks on the different hand, have been in all possibility losers for the commerce ultimate date. in addition they mandatory a huge bat in the outfield, with Byrnes suffering and getting injured. They have been meant to characteristic a sturdy hitter too, yet did not. Edit: to the guy who asked why the Dodgers have been seen losers, I agree. How is a team seen a loser in the event that they have been given the super bat they mandatory? They have been given Casey Blake to fill in for Dewitt at third base, and that they have been given Manny Ramirez to fill in for Juan Pierre (who will in all possibility replace Andruw Jones in center). besides the Angels and the purple Sox, i think of they are the biggest winners.

If you got Matsui, yes, vice-versa, no.
